With only two seconds left in the third Andreas Ambühl scores the decisive goal for Zürich

SC Bern - ZSC Lions 1:2

In the first period Bern was the team that created more pressure but in the very last minute of the period it was Mark Bastl who used one of the few chances of his side to open the score for the guests from Zürich. When Andreas Ambühl won the fight at the boards, the puck came to Thibaut Monnet whose pass found Mark Bastl who was left completely alone in front of the goal and he only had to get the puck into the empty net. In the middle period the hosts kept the pressure high and after not even two minutes they were rewarded by the equalizer through Ivo Rüthemann. First he missed the goal but then the puck came back from the boards to Martin Plüss who made a nice assists for an easy Rüthemann goal. In the third period Zürich started to become more active but failed more than once in front of SCB goalie Marco Bührer. In the last seconds of play in the regular time a large crowd found itself in front of the Bern goal and with only two seconds to play Andreas Ambühl fired the puck into the net for the ZSC win and therefore their 7th Swiss championship which after the video review was official.

With a lot of hard work and good portion of luck the ZSC Lions managed to turn a 3-1 Bern lead around with three consecutive wins in the NLA finals.
