Canada will play USA in tomorrow's final of the prestigious U18 tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

In the first semi final Canada won 3-1 against Russia. Spencer Watson gave Canada the lead after 39 seconds and after that Canada never let go. "I guess I just made a few good moves on the D and slid it through the five hole on the goalie and luckily it went in. It was a huge goal," Watson told the tournament website after the game. Watson also assisted on Canada's 2-0 goal late in the first, Sam Bennett scored.

In the second Canada continued to play well but Damir Sharipzyanov made it a game when he reduced Canada's lead. But the Russians never came any closer and an empty net goal sealed the victory for Canada.

In the second semi final it was a very entertaining and thrilling game between USA and the Czech hosts. The Czech Republic took the lead early by Pavel Zacha but Jake Wahlin tied it up again and after that USA never went down again. Nick and Justin Schmaltz made it 2-1 and 3-2 but the Czechs managed to came back both times, goals by Jakub Vrana and the second by Zacha.

But when Ryan Wagner got in behind the Czech defence and made a deke for 4-3 the Czechs could not recover again and instead Cody Milan made it 5-3 on the empty net with just seconds left of the game.

Finland grabbed fifth place after a 4-3 win after shootout against Switzerland. Finland was down 1-3 but tied it with two late goals and came back to win. Switzerland didn't lose any game in regular time but still only finished sixth.

After finishing last in the group stage Sweden seemed eager to show what they really can and completly thrashed Slovakia in the game for seventh place. Sweden 11-0 after scoring six goals in the second period.
