The game between Lugano and Fribourg was the match of the round with the better end for Fribourg.
In the Pista Resega in Lugano the first period passed by eventless, with a minor penalty on each side but no goals.
The second period finally saw some action when Tristan Vauclair in the
26th minute and Benjamin Plüss in the 27th opened the scoring for
Fribourg. Lugano's Stefan Ulmer brought Coach Patrick Fischer's squad on the scoreboard.
In the third period it was Eric Walsky who scored the equaliser for
Lugano in the 45th minute. It took almost another 10 minutes before
Fribourg's Tristan Vauclair scored the second goal of the night and with
that, the game winning goal.
Fribourg overtakes Lugano and is now second while Lugano finds itself on
4th place as Kloten won their game against Biel but have one game more
on their sheet.
