Fribourg dominates Flyers, beats Kloten 7:1

With a powerful demonstration Fribourg-Gottéron gets back into the series

The story of the 3rd game is quickly told. Too many indivual mistakes by the Flyers, combined with too many minor penalties equaled a 7:1 defeat by the Dragons from Fribourg who were better prepared, avoided the mistakes that led to their defeat in the previous game. Another indicator was the shots on goal statistics: 49:25 was the clear verdict for Gottéron. Kloten had already lost the game after the 3rd goal, was unable to show a reaction. Game 4 will be played in Kloten tomorrow and it will be interesting to see how the Flyers react to the defeat that might still be in the heads of the players.

Goals: 13. Kwiatkowski (John Fritsche) 1:0. 17. Mauldin (minor penalty Santala) 2:0. 30. Bykow (minor penalty Martin Gerber, Romano Lemm) 3:0. 35. Pouliot (Mauldin, Helbling) 4:0. 45. Bieber (Peter Mueller, von Gunten/minor penalty Kamerzin) 4:1. 47. Mauldin (Dubé/minor penalty Helbling!) 5:1. 58. Kwiatkowski (Pouliot, Dubé/minor Bühler) 6:1. 59. Mottet (Pouliot) 7:1. – Penalties: 7x 2 Minutes against Fribourg, 9x 2 Minutes against Kloten.
