Three games were played in SHL Wednesday night. Leksand suffered another loss. Now their losing streak is seven games.
Linköping HC - Leksands IF 5 - 1 (0-0, 1-0, 4-1)
Jakub Vrana was back in Linköping after the Washington Capitals camp and got a goal and an assist when Leksand was beaten 5-1. For Leksand this was the seventh loss in as many SHL games. The game was scoreless for almost two periods but at 39:03 Broc Little made it 1-0 for the home team. The rain of goals game in the third period when Jacob Micflikier, Broc Little and Jakub Vrana increased the home lead to 4-0. Fredrik Händemark scored Leksand's only goal with seven minutes remaining before Gustav Forsling scored his first ever SHL goal for 5-1. Marcus Högberg guarded Linköping's net and made 40 saves. Their other goalie, David Rautio, couldn't play due to problems with a wisdom tooth.
Brynäs IF - MODO Hockey 4 - 3 (2-0, 0-2, 2-1)
A late powerplay goal by Daniel Brodin gave Brynäs the win against MODO. Per-Åge Skrøder had tied the game 3-3 for MODO at 57:01, but just a minute later Brodin restored the home lead. Brynäs got a 2-0 lead in the first period but MODO got back and tied it in the second.
Luleå HF - Frölunda HC 2 - 3 (0-2, 1-0, 1-0, 0-0, 0-1)
Andreas Johnson decided the game for Frölunda in the shootout. Frölunda had taken a 2-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Mattias Janmark and Mikael Vikstrand. Per Savilahti-Nagander made it 1-2 in the opening of the second period and Cam Abbott tied it at 43:19.
