Amur demolishes CSKA

On Sunday the four home teams beat their visitors.
Amur 8-0 CSKAIn the first game of the day Amur faced CSKA. Amur grabbed a lead in the first period. Jakub Petruzalek fed up a pass to Petr Vrana, his shot the goalie Sergei Gaiduchenko resisted but Dmitry Tarasov’s wrister opened the scoring at 08:09. Early in the second Darcy Verot got 2 minutes penalty twice in one game action. Petruzalek and Ruzicka needed only 1:21 to score twice. After the third goal Julius Supler decided to change goalies but Rastislav Stana played only 12:26 and was replaced again. Alexei Kopeikin and Mikko Mäenpää twice extended their team’s lead to 6 goals. Alexander Krysanov and Ruzicka closed the game with the final score 8-0. Amur goalie Jan Lasak stopped 29 shots and made a 2nd shutout in the season. Another four Amur foreigners earned 3 points: Mikko Mäenpää 2+1, Petr Vrana 0+3, Jakub Petruzalek 1+2, Martin Ruzicka 2+1.
Metallurg Nk 3-1 HC LevHC Lev lost another game on the road, Metallurg Novokuznetsk builds a winning streak to get into playoffs. In the end of the first Jyrkki Välivaara fired from the blue line and Alexei Kosourov opened the scoring in power-play. Juraj Mikus was the most penalized player in the game. During one of his penalties Vladimir Loginov with a third shot in power-play to extend the lead from a sharp angle shot. But Mikus helped HC Lev to score; Jaroslav Kristek played on the rebound after his shot at 48:11. Alexander Golovin dished a pass to Randy Robitaille who closed it 3-1 with 4 minutes to play in the third.
Sibir 5-2 Dinamo MinskThe Belarusian team began this game more active than the home team but after a first goalless period Sibir took the lea. Firstly Vladimir Tarasenko passed to Vyacheslav Belov who opened the scoring at 26:38. The 13th goal of the season by Geoff Platt tied the game 7 minutes later. Sibir returned to the lead in two minutes when Viktor Drugov scored on a breakaway. Minsk was unlucky this night; they outshot Sibir 20-5 in the second but lost this period. Early in the third, Sibir player Stepan Sannikov scored a shorthanded goal and also on this power-play Zbynek Irgl cut Sibir’s lead to a 1-goal. A minute later Alexander Suglobov came into the zone from left wing and scored with low shot. Maxim Krivonozhkin’s empty-net goal closed the game with 1:49 to play. Austrian goaltender Bernd Brückler stopped 45 shots and was one of the main heroes of this game.
Ak Bars 4-1 NeftekhimikThe game day finished with another Tatar derby. Ak Bars took a quick lead after 61 seconds from the starting faceoff. Jarkko Immonen opened the scoring with a backhand shot. Jarkko Immonen made a double in a power-play and sent Neftekhimik goalie Tuomas Tarkki to the bench after 8:09 of play. Maxim Spiridonov early in the second extended his team’s lead to a 3-goal. In the middle of the second Denis Golubev fought with Oskar Osala and the Finnish player was a winner from the mess. Yevgeny Korolyov with a high wrist shot scored the first Neftekhimik goal of the night at 31:20. Alexei Morozov said his captain’s word in the end of the game after receiving a pass from Danis Zaripov he scored with a high shot and closed it 4-1.
