Rämö stops Traktor

Finnish goalie Karri Rämö made the second shutout in the series against Traktor to lead his team to the Gagarin Cup final.
Traktor 0–1 AvangardAvangard blanks Traktor in game 5 in Chelyabinsk and makes the last step to the final series. Anton Belov who wasn’t banned for kicking in game 4 scored this series winning goal.
The game starts with a real goal chance from Traktor. Anton Burdasov didn’t make an accurate shot after putting goalie Karri Rämö to the ice. Avangard answered in the middle of the first but Michael Garnett stopped a pass to open Alexander Frolov. Defenseman Anton Belov who didn’t got a match-penalty for kicking Traktor forward Yevgeny Kuznetsov changed the score. At 14:10 he fires from the blue line and makes it 1-0. In the second Traktor increased the speed, made 13 shots on away team net. In the end of the period Avangard got 2 penalties to give Traktor a chance with 5-on-3 play. Two Alexander Ryazantsev’s shot from the blue line came near the post. The third period wasn’t active and full of actions; Traktor sieged only in last minutes and couldn’t change anything in this series. Karri Rämö conceded only 6 goals in 5 games making 2 shutouts and stopping 30 shots in the last game.
The finals between Avangard and Dynamo start 13th April in Omsk.
