Adler Mannheim earn solid home win against Berlin
Adler Mannheim - Eisbären Berlin 4:1Mannheim had lost game 1 in Berlin on Sunday and so they really needed a home win to stay in the battle for the DEL league title. In the first period the Eagles were the more active team and Christoph Ullmann opened the score for them in the 12th minute. Only two minutes later Barry Tallackson already earned the equalizer for the guests from the German capital. In the fight between the two DEL record champions it was Ken Megowan who did get the lead back for the hosts around "half time" in an even second period. In the last 20 minutes Mannheim kept the pressure high and too fast goals by Adam Mitchell until the 46th minute made everything clear long time before the final horn. Both teams will meet for game 3 in Berlin on Friday.
