Someone used the Elitserien player's identity to buy a car
The Stockholm-born Center Yared Hagos should not be a completely unknown person in a hockey-crazy country like Sweden, especially after having played more than 400 games in the highest Swedish league, the Elitserien and having represented Sweden internationally. Still it seems the 29 year old became the victim of someone who used his identity with fake documents to get a car and letting the Elitserien-player in trouble with the consequences.
According to the Swedish news, in April Hagos was informed by his bank that someone bought a Mercedes in the value of 300,000 SEK on credit. The player directly contacted the car seller and the authorities that he was the victim of an illegal car sale but after weeks he had to pay fines for parking and taxes for the car. Although the car was found in Stockholm's Kista district in May. Instead of having the situation cleared, Hagos received a letter by the Swedish Transport Agency that they couldn't confirm he was a fraud victim. For them Hagos is the owner of the car and a possible identity theft has to be looked after by the police. Hagos immediately appealed to the administrative court to soon bring this annoying and humiliating court case to an end.
