HV71 still leads Elitserien

Five games was played in Elitserien tonight, here is a short summary.
Skellefteå - AIK 3-1
After winning their first game of the season in the last round AIK went back to losing after 3-1 away at Skellefteå. A safe win for Skellefteå who was the clearly better team. It was not the usual guys that scored for the home team with Melker Karlsson, Viktor Arvidsson and Petter Emanuelsson scoring.
Modo - Luleå 3-2
After some bad games at the start of the season Modo now shows good form and are second in the standings after winning a close game at home to Luleå. Alexander Steen scored another goal and has nine points in five games. Peter Öberg scored the game winning goal seven minutes into the third period.
Brynäs - Färjestad 1-4
An impressive away win for Färjestad against last year's champions. The score was tied at 1-1 after the first period but Färjestad scored three unanswered goals. Jack Connolly had one goal and one assist.
Rögle - Frölunda 2-0
Frölunda has problem both on and off the ice. The fans are not coming to home games and today there was another loss against Rögle who also had a very bad turnout by fans (3 836). The game was very tight with few chances and Rögle took their third win of the season after a late empty net insurance goal. Viktor Lindgren scored the first goal on PP. Jonas Fransson did well in goal and got the shutout.
Växjö - HV 71 1-4
Växjö is having problems at the start of their second Elitserien season and got another loss today in the derby against HV71 who tops the table. Two quick goals halfway through the game by Jason Krog and Patrik Carlsson clinched it for HV71. Carlsson added his second goal of the game with five minutes left to play. Växjö has huge problems on offense, only 14 goals in 10 games.
