Tonight the last round of the Danish top league AL-Bank Ligaen was played. Herning finished first in the standings of the nine teams thanks to better goal difference than Frederikshavn.
Herning lost the last game of the regular season in overtime to EfB of Esbjerg, but the only point was enough to just get past Frederikshavn in the standings. Both teams ended on 84 points but Herning had five goals better goal difference and got to choose quarter final opponent first.
Eight of the nine teams of the league qualified for the quarter finals. Only Copenhagen was left out.
