The only professional women's hockey club in Belarus "Panther" is on the verge of closing.
The team was founded in 2010 and in his first season won the Open Championship in Latvia. Later, the "Panther" has been successfully performed in three international tournaments - Elite Women's Hockey League, the IIHF European Champions Cup and the Open Championship in Latvia.
At present, "Panther" has refused to fund the company "Triple-Energo", for the money that the team in fact existed. Money is government support, which accounted for only three percent of the total budget for the maintenance of the club is not enough.
Belarusian women's hockey club is actively seeking sponsors and hopes to get help from the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, which is still only in words. September 19 is the deadline for submission of applications for participation in the women's European Champions Cup. Prior to that date at the club did not change, the only female Belarusian hockey team is likely to cease to exist.
