Far east teams continue Siberian quest

The KHL featured only two games today and neither finished in the regular time. Far east teams continue their journey through Siberia, as they switch teams from two days ago.
Metallurg Nk - Admiral 1:2 OT
Captain
Enver Lisin ties the game early in the third, but the thrilling finish is
brought by Felix Schultz scoring with only 9 seconds before the end of
overtime.
A
crazy game took place in Novokuznetsk, but first period was scoreless even
though Metallurg were outshot 13-6. Neither team could get rid of the pressure
and so we had to wait until 33:56 when Marko Anttila puts his name on the
boards, to get the home team up front.
Metallurg
had more of the game, but sometimes in hockey, the outcome isn't exactly a true
display of what was going on on the ice. At 42:51 Enver Lisin scores a
powerplay tally to get Admiral finally on board and tie the game at 1after
Hovinen's deflection in net.
With
the result even, the game was taken to overtime which was practically
coast-to-coast by both teams and it could have gone to either side. But with
only 9 seconds left, a 2-on-2 breakaway was lead by Yegor Antropov on the right
side who feeds for Felix Schutz just in time and he puts the puck behind Niko
Hovinen while he still can't make it to the other side.
Sibir - Amur 3:2 SO
Dmitry
Kugryshev scores the decisive goal in the fifth shootout series to give Sibir
the edge in the game and leads them to glory and wins the second point today.
At 11:20 he opens the scoring on the assist from Konstantin Alexeyev and aims
Sibir towards new points. At 36:27 Nikolai Lemtyugov doubles the lead with Jori
Lehtera's feed deking out a defendseman in front.
At
45:48 Mikhail Fisenko ties the game on even strenght, and the overtime seems
close due to very balanced game. Before the end of the 2nd period, at 39:03
Dylan Reese cuts the lead to half after
Artyom Kryukov and Brian Salcido add the assists to the stats.
Amur
now lies in the last place in the East with 2 points from 3 games, but
surprisingly enough, Admiral is in the 8th place with 0-2-1 record and 4
points. Dynamo Moscow is still in first place in the league with 12 points from
4 games, while SKA are 2nd with a game less and still 100% record.
