Linköping HC - MODO Hockey 1 - 2 (0-1, 0-0, 1-1)
William Nylander returned home to Sweden and got a great start of the SHL comeback. As center of the first line he won 11 of 14 faceoffs and he scored the 2-0 goal, that turned out to be game-winning, on a break-away.
Simon Önerud scored 1-0 for MODO at 8 minutes while his team played shorthanded. Linköping's only goal came in the last minute by Jeff Taffe when the goalie David Rautio was pulled from the net and replaced with an extra attacker.
"He does it very well", says MODO's assistant coach Henrik Gradin to modohockey.se about William Nylander. "William is a fantastic player in the offense and that he showed several times tonight. He is difficult to read for the opponents and a constant threat when he enters the attacking zone with puck control. The line with William, Gustav Possler and Per-Åge Skrøder is our best tonight.
Brynäs IF - Örebro HK 4 - 1 (0-0, 4-0, 0-1)
Brynäs scored all four goals within nine minutes in the middle of the second period. Sebastian Enterfeldt got the first one. Bill Sweatt, Anton Rödin and Jens Lööke the others. Örebro switched goalies for the third period. Henrik Lundberg entered instead of Julius Hudacek and allowed no goals. Örebro got one goal. Anders Eriksson scored it at 54:25.
Färjestads BK - HV 71 1 - 2 (1-2, 0-0, 0-0)
Färjestad suffered the fifth loss in a row, but they got a good start of the game when Jakub Klepis scored after 01:12. It took HV71 ten minutes to tie it. Kevin Fiala got the goal. The last goal of the game, 2-1 for HV71, was scored in the last minute of the first period by Mattias Tedenby. Färjestad outshot HV71 42-16 but the goals wouldn't come.
"It was better than before. Then it's that little extra that was missing in front of the nets," says Färjestad's coach Tommy Samuelsson to C More.
Skellefteå AIK - Växjö Lakers HC 2 - 1 (1-0, 1-1, 0-0)
Patrik Zackrisson took advantage of a powerplay to give Skellefteå a 2-1 win over Växjö. Adam Pettersson had taken the home team ahead after four minutes and Tuomas Kiiskinen tied it at 27:03. Växjö tied the game in the last minute but it was disallowed because a player was in the goalie crease.
