HK Metalurg Skopje is the first Macedonian ice hockey champion
In two weeks Metalurg won Balkan League and domestic championship
HK Metalurg Skopje is the first ever Macedonian ice hockey champion and it is the first time a Macedonian ice hockey league has been played - history was made!
In the best of three final series the Pirates beat the Capitals Skopje in two games,14:4 and 11:1. Metalurg was dominating the league with only one goal against in the regular season.
MVP of the season as top scorer and top goal getter is the youngster Kristijan Tashevski from Metalurg.
Macedonia has seen a 25 year break in organized hockey after collapsing of the Yugoslavian ice hockey league - the first mayor step for the future for organized hockey in Macedonia was made.
