Danish dynamite to Frölunda HC
The 6'6" and 234 lbs danish player Oliver Lauridsen have signed a one year contract with Frölunda HC. -"It wasn't a difficult choice," Oliver said to frolundaindians.com.
Oliver Lauridsen is currently coming from Philadelphia Flyers organization, where he's been since 2012. But it has only been a total of 16 NHL-games. Oliver has spent most of his time in Adirondack Phantoms and Lehigh Valley Phantoms in AHL, where he's recorded a total of 34 points in 264 games, divided in 9 goals and 25 assists. Notable though, is that he have a record of 511 penalty minutes.
Lauridsen has also represented Team Denmark in 22 national games, where he notched one point. Oliver himself is thrilled to come to Frölunda HC: -"It was pretty clear actually. I met the coaches and Philip Larsen, so it wasn't a difficult choice. I understood that I'm bringing in a gameplay, which they have missed according to the coaches. Especially when you get to the playoffs, where it is tighter and tougher and I'm bringing in size and physic. I'm coming to a team who's got a fun gameplay and coaches that can contribute to my continuing development," Oliver said.

Frölunda HC had a good past season. They reached semifinal in SHL Playoffs, but lost to the reigning champions Växjö Lakers. In CHL, Frölunda went all the way to the final game, where they lost against reigning CHL champions Luleå HF. In order to succed this season, they've signed the big danish player and Christian Lechtaler, Frölunda HC's General Manager is hopeful: -"We have known Oliver since earlier and we have been following him and had a dialog since the World Championships. He is absolutely bringing in excellence due to his size, power and toughness. He's also very mobile and is going to fit right in to our skilled team. He's got a great personality and caracter and that is what caught our eyes. He have a will to win and he wants to get better," Christian said.
