Serbia holds head up

In the only game scheduled on the second day of World Champion Division II Serbia earned its first 3 points against a positive New Zealand.
After the unexpected and harsh defeat against Belgium, Serbia gets its first victory against an eager New Zealand whom had a briliant performance by goalie
Zak Nothling (50 saves and title of MVP) and an hattrick by
Chris Eaden. Serbia played a very positive first period despite absence of stars
Marko Kovacevic - up against an hand injured - and Ivan Prokic and few time on ice for Canadian-Serbian Fred Perowne and Marc-Andrè Fournier. An early three goals advantage, 2 scored by MVP
Marko Sretovic, seemed like a prelude to a double digit score, but, as in the debut against Belgium, suddenly Serbia shows difficulties to lead the game maybe for less international experience of various players. After a scoreless second period, New Zealand managed to threaten Serbian, scoring three goals, until the final
6-4, almost like a victory for a team climbing from III Division facing a former Division I opponent.
