Blues join HIFK in the SM-Liiga finals

The sensation is a fact. Ninth placed Blues hade it all the way to the SM-Liiga finals. JYP was beaten 3-1 in game five and Blues, lead by its goaltender Iiro Tarkki, won the series 4-1.

The home team was very nervous. A must-win at home in the sold-out arena. Blues had everything to win, and they took the chance. Tomi Sallinen scored twice and as usual Iiro Tarkki was great in the net. The game was won 3-1 and Blues are in the finals.

At 11:22 Jani Lajunen scored the opening goal for Blues on a greatt pass from the player of the naight Tomi Sallinen. JYP recovered after a stiff start and tied the game at 12:57.

In the second period Tomi Sallinen scored twice. The second time while Blues played short-handed.

Blues join another team team from the capitol region, HIFK, in the finals that start on Wednesday.
