In the first KHL tournament of the pre-season SKA finished with a perfect record
Last season SKA St. Petersburg lost 4-3 at shootout the final of Sochi Open Hockey, the first pre-season tournament between KHL teams, against Russia Olympic team. This season, with a new format without a final, the KHL regular season winner left no chances for the opponents, finishing the tournament with the perfect record of 4 victories.
