It was nemt (easy) for Denmark in this match up
It was one way traffic for Denmark in this game in which they shut out a strangely ineffective Great Britain side.
The game was effectively over after just 12.11 of the first period. By then Denmark had capitalised on early powerplays to make it 3-0.
On a 5 on 3 JENSEN swooped onto a pass from Eller to open the scoring, and just 48 seconds BAU roofed a shot past Bowns. Worse was to follow just two minutes later as POULSEN clinically volleyed a shot past the GB keeper.
GB might have hoped to regroup and get something from the game but BRUGISSER opened the second period scoring after only two minutes. This saw Jackson Whistle enter the net for GB and he performed well until ELLER picked up a pass to make it five goals to Denmark.
After 25 minutes NIKLAS JENSEN one timed a shot after a saucer pass from Eller to extend the lead. Then after 31 minutes JENSEN got his second to make it seven and with four minutes left of the period POULSEN added an eight goal.
The final period was one way traffic still and JENSEN got his hat trick after he skated 200 feet to score a short handed goal
