Norwegian overtime win vs. France

In an exciting match between Norway and France at Sparta Amfi on August 23, 2024, Norway secured a 3-2 victory in overtime. The game was tight from the start, with both teams putting up a strong fight.

Norway took the early lead at 07:53 of the first period, thanks to a power-play goal by Patrick Thoresen, assisted by Mats Zuccarello Aasen. France quickly responded at 17:06 when Valentin Claireaux tied the game at 1-1 with a goal assisted by Nicolas Ritz.

The second period saw no scoring, with both goalies standing tall despite numerous chances. In the extra period, Lilleberg became the hero for Norway, scoring the game-winning goal at 64:18 with an assist from Thoresen, securing the 3-2 win for Norway.

Both teams had close shot totals, with Norway outshooting France 30-24. Norwegian goalie Henrik Haukeland was solid, stopping 22 of 24 shots for a 91.67% save percentage, while France's Quentin Papillon also performed well, saving 27 of 30 shots for a 90.00% save percentage.
