ZSC Lions advance to the CHL Final, where they will face Sweden’s Färjestad Karlstad. Eliminated is last year's champion Genève-Servette.
Both teams played a tight and disciplined opening period, with no goals despite Genève-Servette outshooting ZSC 10–6. Goalies Robin Zumbühl (ZSC) and Robert Mayer (GEN) held strong, leaving the game scoreless after 20 minutes.
The deadlock was broken early in the second period when Vinzenz Rohrer capitalized on a solo counterattack, unleashing a sharp wrist shot to give ZSC a 1–0 lead at 21:55. Midway through the period, Genève’s penalties proved costly. During a 5-on-3 power play, Sven Andrighetto, the CHL’s leading scorer, blasted a one-timer from the right circle at 36:19 to extend Zurich’s lead to 2–0.
Genève responded late in the period. Vincent Praplan reacted quickly to bury a rebound off Simon Le Coultre’s blue-line shot, cutting the deficit to 2–1 at 39:05.
Zurich started the final frame with flair. At 43:55, Santtu Kinnunen received a clever pass from Alessandro Segafredo and rifled the puck into the top corner, restoring a two-goal cushion at 3–1. However, Genève replied just over a minute later, as Alessio Bertaggia redirected Tim Berni’s low pass through Zumbühl’s legs to make it 3–2 at 44:58.
Genève equalized at 53:46 on a power play. Josh Jooris collected Sakari Manninen’s rebound and slid the puck between Zumbühl’s pads, tying the game at 3–3. Despite the late surge, the aggregate score of 9–4 ensured ZSC Lions’ place in the CHL Final.
