The Stockholm Police forces AIK to sell their star to KHL

AIK of Swedish Elitserien has to sell their second best scorer Linus Videll to Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in KHL. This is because the Stockholm police decided to charge them for the security around the games.
The police force in the Swedish capital Stockholm decided to start charging Swedish sports clubs for the security in connection to games and other sporting events. This applies for clubs that also are limited companies. That means AIK (hockey and soccer), Djurgården (hockey and soccer) and Hammarby (soccer and bandy).
The clubs will have to pay around €100 per policeman and hour. For AIK and Djurgården this means about €100,000 for every derby game against each other that needs extra security. For a normal league game it will cost about €4,000. The fee applies from July 1. Until then the clubs get a 75% discount to adjust to the new rules.
In order to afford this AIK decided that they have to sell their star forward Linus Videll. Videll is currently 8th in scoring in Elitserien with 5 goals and 7 assists in 14 games.
