Injury trouble at the World Juniors

Canada's Devante Smith-Pelly out with a broken foot. Larsson and Granberg unsure for Sweden.
Canada's Devante Smit-Pelly blocked a shot with his foot in the game against Finland. The shot hit him in such an unlucky way that the foot was broken and Smith-Pelly, one of two NHL players on the Team Canada roster, is out for the remainder of the tournament.
Another team with injury problems is Sweden. With Pontus Åberg already sent home before the start of the tournament, two more players may be out. Sweden's captain and key player Johan Larsson only played one period against Latvia before leaving the game with an injury. But Sweden's team doctor Björn Sandström is hopeful. "I don't think it's a serious injury. We're counting on that he will be back in play soon."
For defenceman Petter Granberg, who suffered an lower body injury on practice before Sweden's first game, things are more unsure and he could miss the entire tournament.
