In the summer of 2003, the Fort Hotel Chiefs were born, marking the return of Senior Men's hockey in Fort Saskatchewan for the first time in 25 years. In their inaugural season, the Fort hotel Chiefs finished in fifth place in the Chinook Hockey League. They proceeded to go undefeated in the Provincial Playdowns, only to lose out in the semi-finals at the Senior Men's AA Provincials in Slave Lake.
TIn 2005-2006 The Chiefs had their most successful season as they posted a 18-3-3 record and proceeded to beat the Bentley Generals and Stony Plain Eagles on their way to a provincial title and a 2006 Allan Cup berth. The team lost in the Allan Cup semi-finals but gained some valuable experience.
