Game recap

After a marathon Raffaele Intranuovo - tapping-in a rebound on Strazzabosco shot - gives Asiago its third title, second consecutive. Was a great game and really Val Pusteria, despite absences of Desmet, Pichler, Kelly ans Sirianni, tries to equalize series after the terrible mistake in game #5, lost by forfeit. This morning Federation confirmed 5-0 for Asiago. Pity for this conclusion, but was a great final series. Val Pusteria seemed clearly favourite after dominating regular season and lost a capital chance to win first ever title. Absence of top scorer Robert Sirianni, injured in quarter finals, was decisive. Future isn't bright for Brunico team, seems there are many economic troubles, will be a tough summer for Wolves.
Congratulation to Asiago! They didn't started as favourite, despite last season title, and passed regular season always far from top, firing coach Harrington in january. Fan favourite John Tucker, replacing Harrington, did a great motivation job and Asiago emerged in the final and in playoffs, showing great character in semifinal series vs Bolzano (recovering from 1-3) and in these finals against a super favourite Val Pusteria, quickly on 2-0 in the series.
League this season showed a good level of games and the very positive surprise of Valpellice but as usual which kind of league fans will see in september is a mystery: probably with addition of Vipiteno, but some teams (Cortina and Val Pusteria) haven't a stable financial situation..
