Goals and assists
Nottingham came from behind three times, before eventually beating Fife in overtime at the Motorpoint Arena.
It was the Flyers who got off to the better start, and they opened the scoring 80 seconds into the game – Danick Gauthier latching on to a rebound from Rick Pinkston’s shot to make it 1-0. Chris Stewart tied the game up at 7:29 as he finished from the danger area on a 5-on-3 powerplay, but Fife were back ahead before the next penalty was over; winning the puck from the faceoff and eventually scoring through Joe Basaraba 28 seconds later. There was one more goal in the period to come though, Robert Farmer with the tying one at 19:17 to see the score at two each after 20 minutes.
Fife struck early again at the start of the next period through Evan Bloodoff, and held that one-goal advantage for almost 20 minutes until 1:59 into the third period, when Jon Rheault brought the Panthers level. No more goals meant each team took a point and the game went to overtime, where only 57 seconds were needed for Farmer to net his second of the game and bag the extra point for the home side.
