Goals and assists
Two quick goals in the second period helped Cardiff keep pace at the top of the table.
A shorthanded goal from Gleason Fournier opened the scoring in Wales 8:04 into the game against a Clan side that has lost its last two games. However the team from Glasgow wasted little time in getting back on level terms, needing just 99 seconds to draw level through Matt Beca.
4:29 into the middle period Bryce Reddick put the Devils back in front, but again the Clan hit back – this time it was Matt Haywood bringing his side back on level terms 1:31 later.
The game was ultimately won though with two devils goals in just under five minutes to move two ahead. Josh Batch started it at 27:15, with Joey Martin making it 4-2 at 32:12 to give the hosts a decent lead. Charles Linglet added an insurance fifth at 44:06 with the last goal of the game.
The win keeps the Devils level on points with Belfast at the top, and still with a game in hand.
