Goals and assists
Fife extended their advantage over the teams chasing the playoffs to seven points thanks to a third period comeback in Milton Keynes.
Marcus Basaraba gave the Flyers the lead with 1:39 left in the opening period, but they were behind before the 30 minute mark in the game. MK may be mathematically out of the playoff picture, but they’ve made a recent habit of giving teams in and around the Top 8 difficult nights. This continued as goals from Andreas Valdix and Martin Mazanec 63 seconds apart put the Lightning 2-1 ahead by 29:07.
Bari McKenzie tied the game at 44:45, start an eight-minute spell in which the Flyers would take control of the game. Brett Bulmer put the visitors back ahead at 46:57, before Paul Crowder poked home a puck from close range at 52:05 to make it 4-2 which is how it stayed at the final buzzer.
