Goals and assists
In a week where they also reached the Challenge Cup Final, Guildford Flames secured their first piece of Elite League silverware with a win one-goal enough to clinch the Patton Conference title.
The game-winning goal came just over midway through the first period. Storm’s Logan McMillan sat for Slashing as the home side kept control of the puck for almost the entire two-minutes. Eventually the powerplay goal came through John Dunbar at 11:50 to open the scoring.
At that point little did many of the 1,928 in attendance at the Spectrum that it would be the goal to give the home side conference title- but with Travis Fullerton posting a 38-shot shutout, and Matt Ginn not conceding on any of the other 31 shots he faced, the Flames held on for the 1-0 win.
