Goals and assists
The Stars’ 80s night theme ended happy as the home side build on last weekend’s four points by adding another win over Nottingham Panthers at the DIA.
The Panthers, playing their first game with Rick Strachan as Head Coach, took the lead inside 12 minutes thanks to Alex Guptill. Although Lukas Lundvald levelled the game at 14:40, 33 seconds later Ollie Betteridge put the visitors back ahead. Dundee replied with 9:19 gone in the middle period through Craig Garrigan, but again they weren’t level for long – this time Guptill put the Panthers back ahead 34 seconds after.
Carrigan got his second with 2:32 left in the period as Dundee came from behind for a third time in the game. The only goal of the final period went to the home side, Brian Hart putting Dundee ahead at 52:36. Having trailed three times, the Stars held on to their lead for the remaining 7 minutes and 24 seconds to win the game and take two valuable points in their playoff push.
