Goals and assists
Fresh off a four-point weekend, Coventry extended their winning run to three games with their first win in Nottingham since December 2016.
The crowd at the Motorpoint Arena had to wait until the third period to see the first goals of the game as the hosts especially killed a series of penalties in the opening periods to keep the score all square.
The Panthers took the lead just before the 46 minute mark through Justin Kovacs, but were pegged back at 48:47 thanks to Luke Ferrara’s equaliser for the Blaze. With 3:02 to play the visitors then took a late lead, Ferrara again the scorer, while Kevin Morris hit an empty net goal with two seconds remaining to secure a very important road win for Danny Stewart’s side.
