Goals and assists
Fife took two points for the second consecutive night, but like 24 hours earlier needed more than 60 minutes to do it in as they took the OT win over Nottingham.
With both sides having had wins on Saturday night it was a chance for each to make it a four-point weekend, but it was the home side who had the much better start. Goals from Marcus Basara at 6:37 and 11:15 had the Flyers two ahead before Ollie Betteridge pulled the Panthers back to within one at 13:43. Carlo Finucci struck with 1:52 left in the opening period to give the home side a 3-1 lead after 20 minutes.
Two powerplay goals in period two helped the Panthers get back on level terms – Jon Rheault at 21:12 and then Alex Guptill with 30:15 played tied the game just past the halfway mark.
Somewhat surprisingly, there were no more goals in regular time and both sides took a point. In overtime, Joe Basaraba hit the winner with 13 seconds left to earn the Flyers the extra point.
