Dundee Stars ended a run of six league games without a win thanks to a one-goal win over Scottish rivals Glasgow Clan.
It was a lively start for the Stars, from whom Head Coach Omar Pacha had demanded a response after defeat in Belfast 24 hours earlier. The Stars took hold of the game with two goals in 35 seconds- Colton Kroeker got the first with 8:04 gone, before Jordan Cownie converted a rebound from a Brett Stovin shot to double the lead.
A 2-on-0 gave Dundee their third of the night as Anthony Beauregard set up Elgin Pearce for the close-range finish at 30:18. Glasgow were on the board however before the period was out, the puck breaking nicely for Jordan Heywood to wrist home at 37:21.
With 64 seconds left, Scott Pitt poked the puck home from close range to bring the Clan back to within one, but the fightback was too late as the Stars held on.
