Coventry Blaze moved into fourth with a 4-1 road win in Manchester, extending their run of not losing in regulation to 15 games.
Andrew Johnston put the Blaze ahead 2:33 into the game when he was put through in the offensive zone by Dillon Eichstadt, and finished passed Matt Ginn. Dillon Lawrence's wrist shot beat Ginn high at 15:48 to double the lead and put the Blaze two up after 20 minutes in front of 1980 people at the Storm Shelter.
Manchester were back in the game 4:30 into the middle period when Mathieu Gagnon's speculative shot from the edge of the neutral zone beat CJ Motte. Coventry however regained their lead 2:19 from the end of the period - on the powerplay, Ross Venus' shot was saved but Matt Pohlkamp was on hand to put the rebound home.
The Blaze rounded off their win at 47:48 through luke Ferrara to secure a big two road points against a short-benched Manchester team.
