Goals and assists
Guildford Flames left themselves with too much to do in the second leg of their Challenge Cup Quarter-Final against Nottingham Panthers.
The Flames, who trailed by four on aggregate, needed the first goal and did get it through Jesse Craige with 9:45 played. That early hope however was extinguished by the Panthers in six minutes during period two.
Dylan Malmquist levelled the scores on the night before a powerplay goal by Mark Matheson extended the Panthers' aggregate lead to 7-2. Kruise Reddick got the Panthers back level on the night.
There was a glimmer of hope for Guildford with just over 10 minutes to go as Reddick struck again to make it a 4-7 aggregate scoreline. Another Craige, who'd got the first goal of the night, ended the scoring with 17 seconds left as Guildford won 5-3 on the night but didn't have enough to stop Nottingham going through.
