Goals and assists
Dundee Stars moved back into fifth in the Premier Sports Elite League with a well-earned 4-1 win over Coventry Blaze on Friday night.
Spencer Dorowicz's wrist shot past CJ Motte with just 3:57 played put the hosts into a lead they would not surrender for the rest of the night. Some three minutes later, Charlie Combs was set through 1-on-0 on Motte by Philippe Sanche to double the lead.
After some good Blaze pressure in the middle of period two, the home side got the key next goal and moved 3-0 in front thanks to Michael Poirier's slapshot on the powerplay at 32:36.
If there were any nerves among the home crowd they were settled by Sebastian Bengtsson's 24th league goal of the season 1:52 into the final period, although Luke Ferrara did get the Blaze on the board with 6:40 to play which was the game's final goal.
