Goals and assists
The Belfast Giants cruised to a 5-1 home win against the Glasgow Clan in their first game back from COVID-19 protocol in front of 3348 fans at the SSE Arena.
Belfast led by two after the opening 20 minutes in a pretty commanding opening period. Tyler Soy got the final touch off a Ciaran Long shot from the point to open the scoring with 8:17 gone, before JJ Piccinich scored on the powerplay with a neat tap through Shane Starrett's five-hole from close range at 16:17.
The Giants made use of Dyson Stevenson sitting for roughing with Soy getting his second of the night on the powerplay 5:32 into period two to go 3-1 up. When Slater Doggett made it 4-0 at 31:33 the game was all but over.
Mitch Jones got the Clan on the board with just under 15 minutes to go, but Doggett struck against with 4:26 left to complete the home side's win.
