3,270 fans crammed into Braehead Arena on Saturday night to see Manchester Storm leave with a full two points in a five-goal game against Glasgow Clan.
The home fans got the start they were looking for as Clan took the lead inside seven minutes - John Dunbar seeing his shot deflect into the net from close range at 6:69. A little under three minutes later, Dyson Stevenson and Jake Bricknell dropped the gloves after a kneeing infraction form the Storm forward.
Storm levelled 5:07 into period two when Cam Critchlow beat Ty Taylor blocker side from the slot with a wrist shot that pinged in off the post.
An inch-perfect Anthony DeLuca shot beat Taylor in the top corner on a powerplay 3:32 into period three, upheld after video review, and just under ten minutes later the Storm forward finished low from an almost identical position to give the visitors a 3-1 lead.
Dyson Stevenson getting on a loose puck at the top of the crease pulled the score back to 2-3 and set up an exciting finish with 2:18 to play. Clan thought they'd equalised with 65 seconds remaining but the goal was chalked off for the home side having seven players on the ice.
