Sheffield Steelers completed a double-header Scottish weekend with maximum points following a comfortable win against Fife Flyers on Sunday afternoon.
Scott Allen's smart pass across the zone found Matt Petgrave for a nice back post finish with only 70 seconds played at the Fife Ice Arena, but despite their dominance the Steelers were pegged backed at 15:48 when Chris Gerrie beat Matt Greenfield from a tight angle.
After a goal line clearance kept the Flyers on level terms, two goals in 75 seconds swung the game back in the Steelers' favour. Brandon Whistle put them back ahead at 28:50, while Allen deflected Matt Petgrave's shot past Shane Owen to make it 3-1 at 30:05.
Robert Dowd put the Steelers three goals ahead 7:56 into period three, while Allen's second of the night at 56:55, a rebound from his own shot, rounded off the scoring.
