Goals and assists
Coventry Blaze ended their Scottish weekend with a late winner to beat Fife Flyers 3-2 in Kirkcaldy on Sunday night, twice coming from behind in the process.
Zack Phillips neatly finished a nice interchange play between himself and Janne Laakkonen to put the Flyers ahead 15:27 into the game, although they were pegged back not two minutes later when Brady Norrish put the puck home on a delayed penalty at 17:13 with Owen stranded.
The impressive Laakkonen put Flyers back ahead 3:48 into period two, but they were again brought back to level terms before the period was out - this time it was John Curran taking a pass from Kim Tallberg, nicely deked his way past a couple of defensemen, and beating Owen from a tight angle at 35:01.
The game was end to end in period three as both teams searched for the go-ahead goal, but it would come only in the final minute in somewhat controversial circumstances. Flyers' Jonas Emmerdahl was ejected for a check to the head on Colton Yellow Horn with 54 seconds remaining, and with only 13 left on the clock Nathanael Halbert shot through traffic, possibly picking up a deflection on the way through, to beat Owen and win it for the visitors.
