Game recap

Guildford Flames earned their first win of the league season in some style, on the road at the home of the defending champions. Mike Crocock and new signing Patrick Bajkov had the Flames two ahead in just over five minutes, but a Mark Cooper double brought the Giants level before the end of the opening period. Ryan Tait put the Flames back ahead 61 seconds into period two, and while Quinn Preston tied things up at 29:27, Lewis Hook hit what would be the game winner against his former side 11:23 into the second. Eamon McAdam stopped 37 shots to help the Flames to the win.
