Fife Flyers continued their record of picking up at least a point every weekend since Hogmanay with 5-2 home win over Coventry Blaze, moving themselves to within a point of a playoff place.
Ian McNulty deflected home Danny Kristo's pass to put the Blaze ahead with 6:37 played in Kirkcaldy, but the Flyers responded in under five minutes with Troy Lajeunesse feeding Kyle Osterberg on the rush for a neat finish at 11:14.
Two goals just over seven and a half minutes apart in the middle period swung the game in the Flyers favour. In both cases, Max Humitz finished of a tic-tac-toe play at the top of the crease to convert on the powerplay at both 30:00 and 37:32 respectively to give the Flyers a 3-1 lead.
Brady Norrish pulled a goal back for the Blaze 3:13 into period three with a point shot that may have deflected off a stick in front of Shane Owen, possibly team mate Kim Tallberg's. However, two minutes later Lajeunesse sent Osterberg through for another breakaway finish to put the Flyers back two ahead, while Teemu Pulkinnen deflected Kevin Wehrs' shot past Taran Kozun to make it 5-2 with 3:50 to play.
