Arena.
Two early fights saw a pair of players from each team drop
the gloves, earning major penalties each 0 timed at only 2:58 and 3:41
respectively. With 4:34 on the board, the Devils were awarded a penalty
shot for a Charlie Combs hook, which was dispatched by new Devils
signing Bode Wilde.
Brandon Alderson doubled the lead 28 seconds
later, before more roughing and fighting penalties were given out at
6:03. Jake Bolton pulled a goal back for Clan at 6:38, before the hosts
challenged a Clan equaliser at 10:27 and had it washed out for Goalie
Interference.
With just under 10 minutes to go, Josh Waller put
the Devils two ahead with a rocket shot off a pass from Evan Mosey. Cole
Sanford made it 4-1 on a 5-on-3 advantage to settle things.
Cardiff remain second, two points behind leaders Sheffield Steelers who they face on Saturday.
