Goals and assists
Glasgow Clan put nine past Nottingham to earn their first home win over the Panthers in five years at a sold-out Braehead Arena.
Things
got off to a fast start in Braehead Arena. Any bus legs the Panthers
may have had were gone within 22 seconds when Hugo Roy shot past Antti
Karjalainen in the slot when played through. Philippe Sanche, who logged
over nine minutes in the opening period, tied it on the powerplay at
12:57, but less than three minutes later the Panthers were back ahead
thanks to Logan Neilson's tip on Alexander Lunsjo's shot at 15:32.
Clan turned the game completely on its head in period two. Alex
Roach tied things up 2:59 into the second with a well-taken wrist shot
from the slot. A little under ten minutes later, a Robert Lachwoicz shot
was saved by Rok Stojanovič but only as far as Dyson Stevenson at the
top of the crease to put Clan ahead for the first time in the game. Matt
Barry made it 4-2 on the powerplay at 33:20 with a one-timer off Luke
Lynch's pass, before then completing a tic-tac-toe play at 36:53 to put
the hosts 5-2 ahead.
Philippe Sanche's goal 49 seconds into the final period made the
Panthers' chances of a comeback almost impossible, before Dyson
Stevenson and Jordan Cownie scored either side of an Anthony Luciani
five-hole finish to make it 8-3. Nate Kallen rounded off the scoring
with 6:28 to play to give their first home win over the Panthers since
2019.
