A statement week from the Cardiff Devils saw the pick up their third victory in five nights with a 4-1 win over Guildford Flames, moving them seven points clear at the top of the Elite League standings.
A scoreless opening period saw both sides create chances to go ahead -both Ben Bowns and Jake Kupsky came out on top as each team saw a breakaway chance go begging on the same play.
The 3,110-sellout crowd at the Vindico Arena had to wait until the 36th minute of the game to see a goal - Evan Mosey breaking the deadlock when he finished from Gleason Fournier's pass to the back door at 35:01.
Two goals in quick succession put the Devils in control in the third. Brett Perlini poked a loose puck over the goal line at 42:18 to make it 2-0, while Joey Martin struck 100 seconds later to put the hosts three up. Cole Sanford's goal at 45:10 rounded off an excellent three minutes for the Devils who now led 4-0.
Ethan Strang pulled one back for the Flames on the powerplay with 2:33 to go, but the points were staying in Wales.
