In a preseason matchup at Visby Ishall on August 17, 2024, Visby/Roma HK hosted IK Oskarshamn in a thrilling contest that ended 3-4 in favor of the visiting team after a shootout.
The game saw an intense start with IK Oskarshamn taking control early. Liam Hawel opened the scoring for Oskarshamn on the power play at 8:07 in the first period, followed by Michael Joyaux extending the lead to 2-0 just before the first intermission with another power play goal at 19:49.

Despite a close battle in shots on goal (Visby 37, Oskarshamn 33), Oskarshamn's goaltenders, Emil Kruse and Tomas Rydén, made crucial saves to secure the win. The game ended 4-3 in favor of IK Oskarshamn, with Kade Landry delivering the game-winning shot.
Attendance was 412 spectators, who witnessed an action-packed game full of drama, comebacks, and tension as the teams ramped up for the upcoming season.
