Lokomotiv secured a convincing 3-0 victory against Lada in their KHL match at the Lada Arena in Tolyatti. The game, witnessed by 5,764 spectators, was defined by Lokomotiv's strong offense and solid goaltending, which kept Lada scoreless throughout the contest.
The second period proved to be decisive. Pavel Kraskovsky opened the scoring for Lokomotiv with a shorthanded goal 22 minutes and 48 seconds into the game, assisted by Alexander Polunin, setting the tone for the remainder of the match. Polunin then extended the lead to 2-0 after 28 minutes and 18 seconds, with help from Kraskovsky. The final goal came when Artur Kayumov found the net on a power play at 33 minutes and 57 seconds, assisted by Martin Gernat and Yaroslav Likhachev.
Despite Lada's best efforts to mount a comeback, Lokomotiv's disciplined play and strong defense ensured they held on for a well-deserved shutout victory.
