The game kicked off with high intensity, and Kunlun wasted no time taking the lead. At 2:50, Yuri Pautov, assisted by Tyler Wong, opened the scoring, putting the visitors up 1-0. Amur responded late in the period with a bit of fortune when Efim Gurkin's shot deflected off a Kunlun player and found the back of the net, leveling the game at 1-1 by the end of the first.
Both teams had chances in an action-packed second period, but despite several near-misses and excellent goaltending from both Jeremy Smith (Kunlun) and Igor Bobkov (Amur), the score remained tied at 1-1. Smith was particularly sharp, making 10 saves, while Bobkov stood tall, helping Amur withstand a flurry of attacks.
The final period delivered the drama. Kunlun regained the lead early through Tyler Graovac at 42:25. However, Amur quickly responded just seconds later, with Arno Durando slotting home to tie the game 2-2.
Kunlun continued to press, and their efforts paid off in the 55th minute when Jake Chelios fired a shot past Bobkov, giving Kunlun a 3-2 lead. Amur came close to equalizing, hitting the post in the final minute, but Kunlun held on to secure the win.
