Admiral Vladivostok delivered a commanding 7-1 victory over Kunlun Red Star in their home game at Fetisov Arena, marking the largest win in their history against the Chinese club.
The game started explosively for Admiral, as Kunlun's Brandon Yip received a penalty less than a minute in. Admiral capitalized on the momentum, with Egor Petukhov opening the scoring at 4:09, assisted by Arkadiy Shestakov and Mario Grman. Just over a minute later, Libor Sulak doubled Admiral's lead, netting his first goal of the night with assists from Stepan Starkov and Grman again, who earned his first points of the season.
Despite Kunlun's head coach Mikhail Kravets taking an early timeout, the visitors struggled to contain Admiral's offensive pressure. Though Kunlun managed to cut the deficit in half at 16:38 with a powerplay goal from Rourke Chartier, assisted by Tomas Jurco and Danny O'Regan, the period ended 2-1 in favor of the home side.
The second period saw Admiral regain full control. At 22:57, Sulak scored his second goal, putting Admiral up 3-1. Kunlun's defense began to falter under consistent pressure, and in the final minutes of the period, Pavel Shen and Artem Nikolaev added two more goals in quick succession, giving Admiral a commanding 5-1 lead. Kunlun struggled to contain the attacks despite brief flashes of offensive effort.
Kunlun replaced goaltender Jeremy Smith with Konstantin Volkov at the start of the third period, but the change did little to slow Admiral. Jack Rodewald, formerly of Kunlun, scored at 41:28 to make it 6-1. Discipline became a significant issue for the visitors, as they took three penalties in the final frame. At 53:49, Stepan Starkov sealed the scoreline at 7-1, converting on a powerplay with assists from Daniil Gutik and Pavel Shen.
